From the podium to the caucus suites, mental health and substance abuse disorders are getting attention at the Democratic Convention in Denver.

The wellness room sponsored by the Whole Health Campaign was busy on opening day. Among the visitors were Rep. Patrick Kennedy, who has been a champion of the need to unify treatment, therapies, and research.

And Michelle Obama's keynote could not have been more clear in a call to address mental health issues on the spectrum of America's obligations to vets. She said:

There is no better time for meeting these urgent needs.
