zyprexa.jpegFive years after investigations into Eli Lilly's marketing of Zyprexa, the company announced settlement talks of $1.4 billion relating to "past U.S. marketing and promotional practices." Lilly previously agreed to settlements with individual plaintiffs and 33 states for charges of deceptive marketing leading to Medicaid expenses and life-threatening side effects. The "Medicaid fraud control units of more than 30 states are coordinating with federal prosecutors," reports the New York Times.
