Estimates run as high as one in five soldiers returning with trauma-related conditions (PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders) and a spike in attempts as well as completed suicides. Introducing roll-playing for emotional coping mechanisms represents a culture shift. Perhaps it is a tacit acknowledgment that research about prevention may have broad applicability.
